[Photograph] "Race Riot Victims," Acme Photo Agency.

Full Caption: "Race Riot Victims. Injured rioters in a police patrol wagon waiting to be taken to police headquarters after they had been arrested during the fierce race riot which flared in the Harlem section of New York March 19, resulting in injuries to 150 persons. The enraged rioters raided and looted shops over a wide area causing thousands of dollars worth of damages. The trouble started when it was erroneously reported that a young Negro boy had been beaten to death after he had been accused of stealing a knife from a five-and-ten cent store."
